Trauma therapy for adults and young adults across Texas — in-person in Houston and secure telehealth statewide. Quiet, paced, and entirely on your terms.

Most people who find their way here have carried something quietly for years. You don't need the right words or a tidy story — we'll clean the past, ground in the present, and prepare for what's next, together.
Men and women, young adults and adults. Veterans especially welcome.
“I'd carried it silently for twenty years. Madhuri was the first person I could finally say it to. The work was steady, never pushed — and for the first time in a long time, I could sleep through the night.”
Serving Houston, The Woodlands, Sugar Land, Katy, Pearland, Spring, Cypress, and Austin, Dallas, San Antonio, and El Paso via secure HIPAA-compliant telehealth — anywhere you live in Texas.
First, we slow down. I don't rush. You tell me what happened when — and only when — you're ready.
We use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing to unhook the memory from the charge it's been carrying in your body.
Trauma leaves beliefs behind — about you, about people, about safety. We gently rework the ones that no longer serve you.
Practical grounding so the present moment becomes a place you can actually stand in.
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to shape the life you actually want — not just the absence of pain.
We clean the past from the body, ground in the present, and prepare it for the future. The body holds the score — and the body can also let it go.
Licensed Professional Counselor — the clinical license to practice therapy in Texas.
Trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, the gold standard for trauma.

By law, you are entitled to a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges before beginning care. A written copy is provided as part of your intake paperwork. The summary below is for your reference.
You are entitled to a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges before beginning psychotherapy services with Soul Steps Counseling PLLC. Because session count depends on your needs, goals, and progress, this is an estimate — not a contract — and you may begin or end services at any time.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the charges. For more on your rights under the No Surprises Act, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-368-1019.
We talk. That's it. No deep dive, no reliving anything. I want to understand what brought you here, what you're hoping for, and answer any questions you have. You leave with a sense of whether this feels right.
No. Modern trauma therapy — especially EMDR — doesn't require you to retell every detail. We work with what you can tolerate, in the order your nervous system can handle. You stay in the driver's seat.
Yes. Everything you share is protected by law. The only exceptions are the standard ones every therapist follows: imminent risk to yourself or someone else, or abuse of a child or vulnerable adult.
Yes — and you're not alone in that. Many of my clients walk in carrying something they've held silently for years, sometimes decades. You don't have to say it all at once. You don't have to say it at all in the first session. We move at your pace.
I'm a Certified Veterans & Military Mental Health Professional. I understand MST, combat trauma, moral injury, and the specific way silence gets built into a uniform. Veterans are especially welcome in this practice.
You don't have to keep carrying it alone. When you're ready — even just to ask a question — I'm here.
